I was at a gun show a few months back, and one of the vendors had a double-edged dagger-style Chris Reeve knife. It had a blood groove on it and was probably 11 inches overall. I've tried looking for this knife, but haven't located it. Is this a style no longer made, and if not, where could I find one?

I keep kicking myself for not buying it.

Hi Michael,

I think the knife you saw at the show was a Kathathu. I don't know
for sure, but if I am not wrong, they were made in 02 different sizes.

I sugest you to make a serch at google.com if you are really interested. Maybe some merchants still carry them.

Regards,

Roberto.

They were the Kathatu and were made in 9,7,5.5 and 4 inch versions ...all in limited numbers. you might try Dennis Wright for the larger ones and I know where a 4 inch is available....

They made four sizes.

I looked it up and saw that they originally sold for about $475. I don't think I feel so good right now. I think she was selling it at the gun show for about $250. Commence the wrist slapping. :D

Yegads the 9" model is pure... *speachless* wish I:

1. Had the money for one (which I don't)
2. Knew someone that had one for sale!:(

Two of these sizes were personally groung by Chris himself and the other two by Scott Cook. I believe there is still some info on the CRK website about exact numbers and who ground which ones.

Here is part of my post dated 10/21/02 - There were 50 x 9", 100 x 7.5", 66 5.5" and 100 4". I suppose we should have been consitent and made the same number in each size but ....... there you go!

Scott ground the 9 inch and the 5.5 inch - Chris ground the 7.5 inch and the 4 inch.

Anne
