Is there a comparable grease on the market? I'm curious, I have searched the archives and have not found a really definite answere to my question. I use Tuff Glide and White Lightning and I am now looking at trying some type of grease on my folder pivot points, what do you guys think is the best grease out there?

I haven't tried the CRK grease (yet) but I did get a tube as a gift from Nakano (Kin) of Sentry Solutions Hi-Slip Grease. While doing regular maintenance on my Sebenza I gave it a try, and the action has never been smoother! I'll end up getting a tube of the CRK grease the next time I order something from them just for comparison. But I'm sold, Grease is the word! (it's got groove, it's got feeling...)

Sorry...

The CRK grease is a PTFE grease. It is just fine for pivots and general hard use. I also use the MoS2 (Hi-Slip) grease, and others like it, but the stuff is black, and tends to get on everything. The CRK grease is white, and I have noticed no great difference between the two in smoothing actions.

personally i've had very good results with the cr grease, and the way that it's packaged makes it very easy to apply. i use it whenever i break my sebbie down for cleaning. Hope this helped.

I bought a tube of CR Flourinated grease for the Seb because it is not black, AND CR thinks that it is reasonable at not attracting lint, etc. Don't know why, but that is good enough for me.

I would agree with pjenkins, I like the tube that it comes in.
And it works pretty good.

I have had very good results with the Finish line range of PTFE grease and dry Teflon spray's. However when I get my next Benza I will order some of the proper CRK grease as it is the recommended stuff and I am a sucker for more stuff.

PTFE is essentially the technical chemical name for Teflon. I've found any Teflon-based lubricant very effective on the Sebbie's pivot. It doesn't respond as well to Tuf-glide, but the new HI-Slip grease may be a different matter. Next time I'm in the market, I'll pick up some of the CR grease.
