If given the choice would you rather have a comparable CR or WH knife as a daily carry? Both seen very well constructed to me and in some cases on par price wise.

I don't have any experience with either one of these knife companies, but in looking through-out the forum, both seem to be held in high regard...

Thanks...

WH knives are more stylish and often have more exotic blade steel like ZDP-189. They have a lightweight feel.

Comparably the CRK Mnandi, is not quite as stylish or have the exotic blade steel, but it is very effective and has a sturdier feel. Mnandi's are usually less expensive unless they have some kind of very special inlay.

William Henry knives are more cityfied than the CR Sebs. On the other hand the Seb is stronger than the WH. Both are quality knives and will hold up just fine. My WH Spear Point was the first "nice" knife I bought and it has served me for many years, but the SEb I think is in another league. Steven

I own both and they are equally well made, but in my mind are for different purposes. The CR knives are a little more robustly constructed and have a little thicker blades that would hold up to heavier usage. The WH knives are a bit more a a gentlemans folder and the thinner blades make then great slicers. They are both wonderful brands, but I would think twice before using the WH for anything really heavy duty. On the other hand, I wouldn't hesitate to use a Sebenza for anything that I would use a knife for.

For me the choice come down to wardrobe for the day:
WH = dress slacks
CR = jeans.

I would go even further-
jeans- Seb (or whatever)
Khakis- Mnandi
Suit- WH

I've handled both and I have to say that I prefer a William Henry. They are a lot tougher than they look. Kinda like an elegant lady that is more than capable of putting on Levis and going camping.

I can't say enough about ym seb, but I have yet to try a WH...but I like their designs, I agree with the term gentlemans folder...just styling, and sleek! Not that CR knives are not, but to me, the WH just seem to look a bit more elegant...

Sold my Seb. Bought another Seb. Won't buy a Mnadi. Won't sell my second Seb.
