I try to make lanyard for Yuna Hard II knife myself - cutting it from piece of leather about 1/4" think and paint it to color I like - deep red in this case to match handle. Regular leather lace just too thin I like some solid feeling and also my own color. So I cut it out from blank uncolored tooling leather from Tandy (about $15 huge piece of leather) and paint it with COPIC marker. This Japanese Manga markers turns out to be best dye for leather, strong and keep same bright color unlike "special" leather paint I tried before (I carry Yuna for almost a year). And after COPIC I put carnauba wax on top. Turns out pretty good:
I like the outcome too mutch and after EDCing Yuna for a while decide to make same "custom" colored lanyard for my other knives. After all it stand pretty well fo like 11 month with Yuna Hard II.
Here one for ZT-302 - I made it orange:
And for Microtech SOCOM Elite CPM S90V:
All my favorite knives with my colored lanyards:
and this is how it looks on the pocket:
Thanks, Vassili.
