I was looking around online the other day and found a slick black nylon pouch that folds open and has elastic loops for holding cr123 batteries. Now I can't find it again. Any of you guys know what I'm talking about?

Although different than the product you're looking for, I just saw a review for these Personal Battery Caddies and think I might pick one up in the future. I'm interested in the CR123 SlimLine. They come in a variety of colors, including GID, and look like they would work well for tossing in an emergency pack, particularly in a high-vis color.

Like I said, different than what you said you are looking for, but I figured I'd pass it along since I found it interesting.

I ended up with a waterproof heavy duty box originally made for a pack of cigarettes [Otter box ??] that I found on a battery dealer...www.otterbox.com , the 1000 series.

At one point I saw a kydex holder for a spare 123. If was just a single piece of kydex you could snap a battery onto and a hole for a keyring. I've been looking for who made them and had no luck, any of you guys know anything?

there is some wasted space if you store 123's. if you store aa's, the whole container is used.

I'm glad to hear that. I already have a couple of 123 carriers but AA would be handy for traveling, too.

I have a Pelican 1020 with the foam cut out for 24 CR123s, and a round carrier for 4 of them.

Edit: the round carrier holds SIX of them.

i have the pelican for the 123's too. i think that is the best method for storing them. the tadgear pouch is great for on-the-go or bug out bags.

i have the double, with four 123's and 4 aa's attached to my pack.
