hi all,

you are right- that single malt from scotland is spelled not this way..

I didn`t mean `Cragganmore`,
but this knife, built on order, with CRACKS in the handle and MORE details.
even the sheath seems to be cracked :mad:

W1 forged
diff. hardened
fossile seacowrib

length 23cm
sharp 9,5cm
thickness 4,0-1,5mm

thanks for looking!
gerhard

ps.:
I like it to play with my stamp:
the boat as a branding at the left rear cheek, the cross on the butt-cap... :D

Very beautiful blade there. I like the slight curve along the length and the hamon?. Also love the sheath.Great job.

SEMPER-FI TIL I DIE

You have an amazing eye for curve and interplay of texture. This is another example of why your work is so respected. You've elevated it as a true art form, yet it even shows VISIBLE evidence of a well constructed tool.

So many subtle details adding up to a really fantastic piece of work. The different polishes between bolster and blade, the makers mark carved, the innovative sheath.. Hats off, sir.

I'd like to see what's going on on the back of the sheath.

VERY nice, and VERY "Wieland". Recognisable as one of yours from miles away!

Stylish, as always, and sheath & knife go very well togheter!

Kind regards,

Jos

thank you all for your kind comments!
@iwrhea,
that´s my intention to build a well working tool, ergonomically AND optically appealing.

@sbranson,
stuart, nothing unusual at the backside of the sheath-
similar to this one (wrapping added)

Thanks. I was wondering specifically how the wrapping integrated with the back of the sheath, whether there was functional aspect to the design.

Truly remarkable wieland....I hope that one day I can become as skilled as many of you are.

Wonderful knife sir. You have really payed attention to detail. I like how the makers mark flows into the sheathing.

Looking forward to viewing your new creations
