That's an interesting choice in camo.:)

I always knew those mountaineers were some tough boys.

Love it! Takes me back many years! But those figures are particularly well detailed and well proportioned. What scale are they? 1/35? Your photographic skills are also pretty good.

PS I note there are no enemy in sight....must be the sight of those khukri blades glinting in the moonlight!

From whence did they come?

I found them on evilBay last month when I was looking for something else. :D

Thanks! I've been trying to play with the macro on my very basic camera. I have no idea what scale these are. The seller didn't have much info on them- it isn't even a complete set (just 11 figures) -so I don't know manufacturer, vintage or anything else.

Berk- what's the story with your colorful characters? :)

Mine also came from the internet auction site we all love to hate:p several years ago. They are 1/72 Airfix
WWII Gurkhas
which had been painted by a previous owner. They have also obviously been played with a lot, although I personally am much too mature to engage in such childish behavior:cool:.

I knew you would know. ;)

Thanks for the link! It's good to have friends, and it's really good to have smart, well-informed friends.

I think I need to drop the money and have the Ghurkas face off against the empire of the rising sun. Those look too awesome.

There is a website devoted to reviews of plastic soldiers? I may now have heard of everything.

(they are pretty sweet though)
