As mandated in the HI by laws, fine print, paragraph 52 subsection 7b, here's a some pics and opinions on some of my recent new family members. The opinions expressed here are my own and in no way reflect upon the people of Saskatchewan. Can't believe I spelled that right first time, don't even know where it is, far piece north I think...........

Anyhow first up an extremely lovely Gelbu by yuvraj (I'll have to check spelling on that, don't seem right). Yup, fixed it!
This thing is a beauty, very well done in every way. I'm so glad I managed to get it and Auntie gave me a few days to send the loot.
It feels awesome in the hand, I noticed right off the usual seam on the bolster is non existent, no discoloration, can't hardly see it at all. Also my first HI knife that has a bolster on the karda and chakma, a very nice touch on this model. Makes it kind of flashy.
The sheath fits perfectly, just over all 5 thumbs up. Definitely a model that belongs in every collection.
Some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Very classy knife! Yuvraj:eek: So he and Tirtha are back to making them big swimmin hole fullers. Gotta get me one! That C&K are nice with those bolsters. Hope they keep that going:thumbup:

Very very cool... Digging those bolsters on the karda and chakma. That is a lighter example of the Gelbu if I remember correctly. Nice pictures Bawanna, they show off the steel nicely.

After revisiting this post after supper, I gotta agree with GB on the bolsters. They do set them off very well.

18", 22 oz. It's light but in a meaningful sort of way.

It's a serious piece of cutlery for sure. I love it very much.

Oh yes definitely in a meaningful way... The Gelbu is a fighter through and through. The lighter the better!
