CPM-154CM is the steel. Mirrored 8" hollow ground on the bottom with a 4" grind for the swedge. Crackle mammoth ivory scales are stablized by WSSI for the handle. I had been holding onto these scales for over two years before I was ready to use them. The blade is around 4" and the OAL is a little over 8". Thanks for looking....

This one needs to be in my collection :D

Did you seal the mammoth? I have a piece I want to use soon, and it is cracked like yours. I have contemplated super glue in dripped layers in the cracks but yours looks fantastic.

Very nice. I really like the design. Awesome picture also.

Thank you gentlemen. This one seems to have come out OK...

I had WSSI stabilize the ivory and then it is sanded down to 600grit and then buffed with 4 different compounds. On deep cracks that threaten the scale, I'll use super glue gel or thin, depending on the size of crack to give it strength but never as a finish. I didn't have to do that on these.
