last weekend at Earth Traverse Oufitters here in Knoxville. Hatcreekk9sar (SF Sam to those that know him) was hosting a bushcraft event, and since I didn't have much going on, me and willis trekked out there for some fun, and BSN about knives and skills. Whilst there, I was asked to go over some basic stuff, knife safety, bow drill and flint and steel.

These are some crappy pics from SF Sams Cell (say that 3 times fast), the good ones should be here any day now.

I was working with cedar and some red oak. Didn't get too involved, just safe handling, basic cuts, and primary skills. Bow drill smoked like hell, only one coal, and it didn't make it. So, I whipped up a flint and steel kit and brought it home that way.

Pretty good time. I'll post more when Sam gets me the pics.

Behold! The Mighty BK16 "Tweener with a Saber-Grind"!!! Nice crafty stuff goin on there Moose (you can leave the bush part out....).

Awesome stuff brudda. Lovin' that 16. You should do a thread about the different cuts, and knife safety, and make it a sticky here, and make it one of the requirements of being a Beckerhead. Me thinks it a good idea. Even if not a requirement, just be good to have in general. ;)

Very cool, but stop testing the sharpness on your arm hair...you will look like a moose with mange!

I'm sure ya have been mooses....just all I been seeing is pics of pretty pristine TweeShos glad to see it in action. The drop point is growing on me...torn now which I want drop or clip. perhaps both ;)

She must be sharp, your left arm has some bald patches lol. That or you got the moose mange :)

Moose: turning bush into hedge since the 1973.

(ok, I made up that year)

Do you shave your own bush with that blade?

Kinda like your arms bro?

good stuff moose but if you don't send me a BK16 soon I'm gonna have my way with you.

Gillette.

BK16 above the equator. Actually, I think those patches were from my BK9, I sharpened it up good the other day.

The BK16 had my edge put on it, I think about 2 weeks ago, hasn't been touched since. Scary sharp still.

i'll keep saying it, there is no saber grind ;)

I kinda like the flat grind anyway, well on the one Warrior generated on one of those computer thingies.

Looks like a sweet little bushycrafty demo. That blade looks more than capable...I cannot wait until they're released!
