Number 9 wins the drawing (puukkoman)
Made by Camillus Cutlery for Sears/Craftsman... but was supposedly an overrun. So, Camillus ground off the Sear's Craftsman tang mark and sold it as a second. In any case, a good friend gave it to me to use, but I never have (though I intended to). It was given to me in it's sheath, no box. The edge is the original factory applied, and blade is as new. The frame is as new as well, no dings or scratches, but showed a few brass tarnish marks, which I just removed with a polishing cloth, (the pic shows the pre removal of that tarnish). Tomorrow I will pick one person for it to be sent to. If you're interested, and you have 50 or more posts on this forum... you can particapate. Just put a single post up in this thread that mentions your favorite current factory traditional knife manufacturer (one still producing and still in business), and you're in
Thank you all for sharing your hobby, your knowledge, your time
Tarnish on brass removed
And as for my own favorite... I have been leaning towards Queen... But Case still holds much ground with me
Recent picture taken of what is left of what was once Camillus Cutlery... it now having gone DoDo. Seems Sears/Craftsman is also in it's last throws of life.... Great names that were once common in America... Yup, I am starting to feel my age, lol! ;-)
