Got this from Craig on Wednesday.

Blade is 11 3/4" long, W2, 3/16" thick at the ricasso with a full distal taper. This makes it quite thin in comparison to modern Bowie interpretations, but very light and quick.

Fittings are Damascus and the guard was turned forward per my request. Very happy with the way Craig finished the guard, based on very little input from me other than I wanted it turned forward. As you can see, trusting in his inherent sense of aesthetics paid off.

Handle is a large, single piece of Sambar Stag. It fills my hand nicely, falling naturally into a sabre grip.

I really like the way you went Bagwell on the guard ! :)
Craig does top notch work and from the specs and your pics it looks to be quick and fast.
Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Looks fantastic! If it's 3/16" it has to be light as a feather and FAST!!!!

Love the guard, too. Really sets it off.

Knife looks great! A very nice C guard! And just enough hamon so that the clip can be sharpened

Congrats :D

The Eastside Fighter is about my favorite of Craig's designs - and this is a really nice one. Matt's right - he makes them very light and fast for such a large knife.
