well this isn't a reply but is the main message as something happened on the way to the forum.

Just got this piece delivered today. It was available from Craig via BF and I have watched his knives for sometime hoping to get one. With the thumbs up from Roger P when he saw Craigs work at the ABS show recently, I was able to contact Craig and obtain this fine knife.

this is what Craig had to say about the piece in Exchange
"The blade on this knife is 8 1/4" of forged 1084 steel. It is edge quenched and shows a very active and distinct quench line but I am unable to get it to show up in my scan. The spacers and guard are blued steel with a fileworked nickel silver accent spacer and a nickel silver buttcap. The handle is very textured and nicely colored red stag. Overall length is 13 1/4". The knife comes with a hand tooled stud style sheath."

another collage--there is a neat spanish notch done on the 8 1/4" blade also

This knife is now nicely displayed with a similar Bowie by James Shaver which was posted last summer but is now shown with the Craig Camerer Bowie

Great-looking bowie Murray - and that sheath looks pretty awesome too.

Cheers,

Roger

Very nice bowie; one that I have been lucky enough to be able to handle several times(I wiped my drool off though). ;) :)

Hey Murray,

Yup, cool sheath (love the belt-frog)...can you do a close-up of the Spanish notch??

Thanks,
RL

Those are two really great looking knives Murray, but they don't look much alike.

I really like the lines on this knife and that is a beautiful piece of stag. You got yourself one heck of a knife there.
