Crank-up laptop

These things sound pretty cool, actually. Might make for a fine outdoor/survival-type notebook (not that I´d really have much use for that sort of thing, but still...). I wonder if they will be made available to "first world" buyers. Maybe they could do that in a kind of donation project, buy one for $200, and a less well-off country gets one free.

That's a great idea. I think the project envisaged corporations or charities or NGOs donating these, though, and since the potential market is so large, they would not be available to adult buyers for a while.
