I didn't plan to be at the Creek a third day... I'm driving thru the Lou on the way back to Indy when I talk to a buddy. I turned around to head to the Creek for a third day to do a proxy purchase of a custom, one-off blade.

How did this start??

The first day at KC, I got my planned purchases. No need to sell any steel to offset the cost... Maybe a little plasma, but no steel.

Second day? I'm just going to hang out with buddies and watch the night shoot. No harm in that, right? Wrong... (Oink, burp!) I walk away with a Ruck Kensei - I'll sell off some other, similiar blades to offset the cost. Duplicate usage anyway, right?

(This makes perfect, reasonable sense... No?)

I also had a really nice kydex sheath made for the Ruck on-site by some benders that work-while-you-wait. The wait was more like four hours but, at $4/inch, it finished out really nice and gave immediate satisfaction.

(Really, I can quit any time I want... Honest.)

So, I told you why I went back today, just to help a friend. I mean, I'm not buying anything else, correct?

Not quite... I finish the deed for the buddy (really, really sweet blade!) Garth has been telling me about DSA and I'm sorta hot for a FAL. Since I came out anyway, I'll just walk over there and take a look.

(Step away from the Busse table. My infi-fu-sistance is strong. I can quit any time I want. I DO NOT have a problem.)

In a quiet yet cracking voice, I tell Garth: "I... I... Uh... Want that one too."

Garth: "What?"

"DID I STUTTER?! I want that one too!!!! Here's the money. I just need THIS ONE LAST BLADE! I neeeeeed that piece of INFI!!"

Garth:"OK, sure man. I got it for you right here..."

(Sweating...)

The green wood grip, mosaic pin GW just found a new home.

I can quit anytime... Really...

My name is Stacey and I'm a INFIdict. If you'll pardon me, I've got to go sell some productions now...

Somehow, can PORKERSON be blamed?? Probably. The Swamp was my gateway drug to INFI, after all.

I wonder what is still on the table?? I'm only fifty miles away, after all...

You don't have an INFI problem man. Only INFI problem you would have is if you didn't have any INFI:D

Wow, nice snag! Beautiful knife, from what I've seen.

We need pics of it all, though!! ;)

Stacy, that is exactly why I went home Saturday morning. I had to resist urges on Friday and I knew if I went back and something was still there that I wanted, I would weaken. So, I am with you bro....call me if you need help!!!
porkybear....

I need an intervention. My awd Toyota is covered in a soupy, mud crust from hauling my way back into Knob Creek today.

If you don't want to park near the highway, you've got to park in muddy fields that are the consistency of refried beans. Guys in trucks stand and gawk, thinking I'm nuts, when they see me drive into that swamp in a minivan. I gets cheers and applause when they see me come snorting and sliding out of it. Old awd Previa (jelly bean,) I love it, baby!!

LMAO!!

I KNEW you'd go back again, ya weak hacker.

Hope the kydex worked out.

My wife was reading this over my shoulder and started laughing out loud. She said it sounds like something I would do.

If it really feels like a problem though, think of it like being a missionary. You can spread the INFI gospel, starting with converting me. I'm a hard sell, so send me something really impressive to get me believing.........................:D .........................................WHAT?, I am just trying to help!;)

Sounds like you have a problem... Maybe you should stay away from the Forums for a week or two -- just until you get things sorted out!

I wonder if your friend knew about your junkie status and sent you back in anyway???

So now we need a group pic of all that lute from the creek

Stacey,

It will be OK...I volunteer to be your INFIsponser.....LOL

Remember INFI Makes You Happy

I feel your pain Stacey.

Friday morning I had the credit card out and in my hand and I was still 30 feet from the table.

Steel Hearts = cocaine

I just can't help it.

But I have "no regrets."

This is one of the beauties that came home with me.

I been calling it the SHSH "Grinducci" Variant

That one felt great in the hand! Nice score.

BTW, I've still got a package for you...

Stacey,
I feel your pain ;) It is a tough addiction to break, especially when I have not yet admitted I have a problem ;)

Congrats on some great pieces, that GW is incredible and was my next favorite on the table

:D:D
