Finally finished this Camp knife for a forum member, started it months ago, he basically wanted a Fikes inspired Camp Knife, and thats what I tried to maintain.

Steel is 1095, textured/beveled on one side, left natural on the other, pitting and all. Photos dont show it but theres a nice hamon in there, crappy weather, camera & computer not co operationg = crappy pics (i need a light box). Overall length is 16" with an 11" long x 2-3/8" wide blade.

Although its forged "flat" on one side and with the primary bevel on the other, the convex is rolled in from both sides like a traditional blade.

Wrap is black over tan underwrap, left a little room up front for a turks head as the customer wants to tie one. Any how, here are the crappy pics-

Matt the pics are fine and that hamon is showing up for me. That thing is killer man! Big Time! Your customer should be very pleased. Your wrapped handles are very well done with the layering and grip.

I like the "weathered look"

I bet that sucker will chop like crazy...
