I've acquired/borrowed/potentially bought a Morgon Milling/Drilling Machine through one of those deals that was just too good to pass up. It's lived most of it's life as a glorified drill press and as far as I can tell, it works as it should--all the speeds run smoothly, runout is minimal and the milling table seems to work well and track accurately.

I know next to nothing about end mills, cutters and other assorted tooling/bits/speeds/etc and was wondering if anyone has any good words or recommendations for reading material that can help me incorporate this tool into my workflow.

I'd make sure it is trammed and get to work! Nice looking machine.

Always wear eye protection and watch out for chips, they are very sharp. I use a paintbrush and vacuum to keep mine clean. I like Lakeshore Carbide and Maritool for a lot of my tooling.

Glad to help! I got a lot out of that vid- some machining stuff is common sense, other things you really wouldn't know the best way, or any way of doing.
Unfortunately what I also get from higher education in machining is an extended wish list of tooling!
I'd recommend a decent vise, some parallels, and a dial test indicator to start with, if you don't have them. Also, an edge finder set and some 1-2-3 blocks.

^ I just realized that is the same video that Salem posted! lol well it's pretty good

The tooling set from LittleMachineShop has worked well for me. They have a lot of good info there.

I'd also check out some knifemakers using mills, Allen Elishewitz's "Basic Tactical Folders" has helped me lot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-JBbaqrTtM
