I had originally posted a query on the Busse site but an answer referenced the Crash Rat so: Has anyone used one of these for general camp duty--small firewood prep (splitting and such), occasionally field dress a turkey or deer, or cutting small wood for an overnight shelter or "carry-out" pole with game? I am told the SR was designed a bit more in line with these tasks, were the Busse was more for garden work or as a supplement in camp work.

the Crash Axe has no Busse Cousin, unless you count the Megalodon.
Are you thinking of the Ratchet?
I have no doubts that the Crash Axe will outperform the little Paul's Hatchet and Ratchets. It is a substantial tool.
