I finially bought a knife I have been lusting after for several years. I coudlnt bring myself to part with the $400--$450 for a new one. I found a used Kasper with a satin finish blade and micarta handles for $275. It is in the mail as we speak. I feel like the kid waiting for th RED Ryder BB gun in Christmas Story..

The pics looked good and the knife does not appear to be a beater. My question to the Crawford fans--- Did I get a good deal???

I've probably had a dozen Kaspers through the years, and it is still my favorite designed knife of all time, but don't currently. Had I found one for $275.00 and had $275.00 to spend plus it being in good shape I would jump on it! You can always send it back to Pat and Wes for a refurbish and have it come back like a brand new knife! Did you do good...............you did fine. :D :D :D

yes thats a good deal, i have 2 crawfords and they are great knives , a ti kasper and a ti perfigo. i paid $250 maybe $275 for the perfigo in LNIB shape, the guy selling had to sell it to buy another knife and took a beating on it, but another good deal.

pat really stands behing his stuff, the kasper i got had been used fairly heavy and i sent it to him to rebuild it, he rebuilt the lock, bead blasted it, resharpened and signed the blade, all for $22 including shipping (UPS) and did it in about 2 weeks. it looks LNIB now.

imho pat is one of the finest makers around today, certainly in the top 5 imho, and a great guy to deal with also.

$22 for refurbish sounds great. Thanks for the info. Im glad I bought a used one. In addition to saving a few bucks I wont be pissed when I scratch it up a bit.
