Sorry to take up space, I know this is a well known knife. BUT I LOVE IT. IT IS MY EDC!!!!! Finally found that folder that speaks to me, that climbs into my waist band into the exact same spot each day...
It has taken me 2 years to find it and I have BF to thank.
The size of the KFF is just right for my hands.
The Crawfords' sure know how to add finger placement grooves, I can switch from a front grip to a reverse grip and finger placement is right on.
Lock up is fantastic and with the the recess I won't unlock this baby antime.
That solid backspacer makes it a great impact weapon too.
Anyone else as happy with thier KFF as me :D

They are great knives for sure. I've had a dozen of the custom models but always ended up trading them. Got my eye on another one though that looks pretty sweet.......dark blue anodized titanium frame and boron carbide coated blade! The handle of the KFF is without a doubt one of the best feeling handles on any knife ever made. I totally understand where you are coming from!:D

as much as i love my ti KFF, i like my perfigo better, slimmer, easier to conceal, stud or pocket clip, longer blade, a GREAT knife imho, and also designed by kasper........kind of an improved KFF imho.....BUT the KFF is great also, as is anything i have ever seen by pat........and talk about customer service?? sent my KFF in to rebead blast it, replace lock (no probs but pat said it needed replacing), resign blade, and a new belt sheath for it(which, when he found out i didnt have one, he sent it home in one!!)- oh, and shipping also, he did all the above for about $29!!! cant beat that imho......pat is 'da man!!!

I don't own a Crawford, but I've handled many. They are IMO the best feeling Tacical knife in the hand, I just love the design. I do think the linerlock in most of the ones I've seen are too recessed, but I understand why they're done that way. I do have the CRK&T/KFF's and I think they did an outstanding job on them at a great price.

The service offered by the Crawford's as described by Greg should be the benchmark for all custom makers offering "tactical" knives. Now I now I can kinda beat mine up & use use it day to day ( as a KNIFE ) so that it becomes "part " of me. Sounds silly but like my service side arm which I use it in the snow, in the rain, in sand and gravel pits, I clean it and take care of it afterwards but know that if I break it ( my semiauto)in routine training I send it in via my IST and H&K fix it not at my cost. The KFF is at my cost, but the Crawfords' seem to understand that a % of us train so that if the firearm fails we want a next line of defense ( no back up guns in Canada )and in order to use that next item be it baton , OC or knife you have to use it and scratch it and drop it and bang it around a bit. Nice to have a way to fix this piece at a decent price.
Sounds like I made a good purchase :)

pat called me on the phone to let me know about the lock needing replacing, and he told me he LOVED to see someone use his knives, not just collect/etc them. he said he could look at the knife and see how well it has held up under use, look for weaknesses, etc, and he thanked ME for sending it in.

oh, and did i mention the turn around time was less than 2 weeks????

i have dealt w/a couple of other custom makers in similar situations, w/out the same results, sadly (though MOST are very much like pat)

the only bad was i had a hard time bringing myself to carry it again, looked too darned good to scuff up again!! but i got over it.........

i would reccomend a crawford w/out reservation!!
