No, I am not having a delusional experience where I believe I have traveled to the year 3000. Instead, after 3.5 years on bladeforums, I have reached my 3000th post. Instead of making a long post, as I would like to do, or copying and pasting all 3000 of my posts into this post, which could be fun, I shall keep things short, but very sweet.

A few years ago I bought my first issue of Tactical Knives, and I became a knife nut. I had always liked knives, but it was that magazine that brought me out of the closet. A couple mags later and a Cold Steel LTC khukuri on my belt, I longed for a place where I could chat about knives with other knife people. I don't know how I found bladeforums.com, but I am so glad that I did. I am a hobby maker now, thanks much to the help I have received from kind folks here. I know I have learned tons here, and I have helped other knife nuts, new and old, learn about knives as well. After 3000 posts, the trolls, the fights, the politics and all really seem, well, kinda non-existent. Bladeforums.com has been fantastic to me, and I have tried to gove back as much as I could as well.

I appreciate everyone here, though I would liek to make a few special mentions. Thanks to Mike Turber and Spark for Bladeforums!! Thanks to the makers who have helped me along, especially Tim Hermann, Kit Carson, Jerry Hossom, Rob Simonich, Neil Blackwood, Mick Strider, Duane Dwyer, and Michael Cooper. Extra special thanks goes to Mike Cooper, who is a model of generosity and good will for me. Thanks goes to all of the Chat Cats. BFC Chat has been fun, informative, therapeutic, and humbling! Thanks goes to Bobby Branton, who ran a contest on the throwing forum a couple of eyars ago. My first Bladeforums winnings was one of Bobby Branton's pro throwers. Thanks to SOG Knives and the America Tomahawk Company for the hat and shirt I won from you folks respectively. Thanks to the posters who have thrown contests for all sorts of reasons, that is most generous of you. Thanks to all of the folks who have passed items to me to borrow for a while, especially good 'ol Gus. I got to read a classic knife book that I otherwise would never have gotten to see. And thanks Lifter4Him, for lending and then giving me your bowie book. I have since sent it to Keith in Edmonton for his collection. Thanks goes to CJ Caracci for his brief, but mos thelpful tim ehere on the forums. His knowledge of tactical matters is incredible. Thanks goes out to Greg Walker for a billion reasons, but mostly for sharing hsi great wealth of knowledge and his willingness to share. Greg is a true warrior. A big thanks goes out to my pal samhell, my good online friend from Texas.

Finally, I want to thank those who have gone or do go into harms way and protect us all- some of them are Bladeforums members. It is with soldiers guarding the walls, Police Officers guarding our safety, firefighters guarding our homes and dcotors and nurses keeping our health that we are alla ble to sit behind our computers and enjoy bladeforums and our knives. I can't thank you enough for that, though I will try.

congratulations on your post!!!!

hey id get knife magazines too, but i cant find any, what magazine rack did you gety yours from?

A milestone for a very well regarded member. 3000 posts and most all that I have read have been interesting and/or informative. It is great to have someone with your enthusiasm for and knowledge about knives, on this forum.

Your generosity is much appreciated as well. Thanks for that Thorp book on Bowie Knives. It has been a great read.
