I finally finished this one up for a customer in Australia. It took me a good long time due to schedule/life etc.

Model- BEEK
Steel- N690 at 60 Rc
Thickness- .197 or so
Blade length 6.75"
Overall- 12.375'
Handles- Red G10 .090 liner, black G10 handles, SS screws and tubing.
Coating- Cerakote in graphite black.

This is one of my favorite big knives. The original design came from a template that Todd Begg let me use (Preacher's bowie). I have modified the handles and changed the blade shape a bit over the last couple of years. I would like to think that his influence is a positive thing. Just have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks to Todd and his constructive criticism I have improved greatly over the time that I have known him.

Thoughts? Dan

Holy moley, that's a winner I reckon. Love the whole look of it. The handle is just what I like in a swinger too. The only thing that I would question is the swedge. Wouldnt you want as much weight up front as possible in a chopper?

What use will he put it to?

Whatever he wants! He is a collector of fixed blades so I don't know if he "plays" with his knives or safe queens them. It is his knife so....

He is a member here so maybe he will pipe in.

It still has a lot of forward weight. Not that much weight taken off for a swedge but it sure makes it cut better at the tip.

Plus it looks cooler!

props for giving Begg credit for the design:thumbup:
this knife looks like a ton of fun

Hi Daniel,
I am a new lucky owner of the BEEK here in Australia, the third in 3 years.
Just curious why BEEK? What does the name stand for?

Very much like this, what would you price this out at if you were to make another and what steel is used?

I'm sorry what steel choices can be used, as-in would I be able to choose a different blade steel to be made in this same design?
