The hardest to resist for me is that Survival Knife.
That's about rock-bottom pricing for a non-blem.

Pull the trigger on that man you wont be disappointed at all.
Thanks, a good testimonial. Someday, I hope, but not today. I'm hoping that somebody else who is attracted to this knife will make the most of this deal.

What?! These were posted on the 11th and now it's the evening of the 13th, with items still available? Fear not, I'll try to diminish the temptations. Besides we wouldn't want these to feel unloved.
AL

Email sent on Survival and Farm knives.

And one's a Cherokee Rose!

I'm guessing it's partly because Karda can't do credit card payments. If I had the money, I'd be tempted to claim the Cherokee Rose and say "can I paypal the money to Yangdu, and you can wait until she comes back and can confirm the payment, before shipping?" But I can't afford it, plus I'm one of the weirdos who doesn't like neem wood a whole lot. Now if it were satisal, with a nickel silver piece in the center (I don't know what those are called, but I like 'em), like the one on the website... I'd probably be eating a lot of ramen for the rest of the month.

Excuse, excuses !!! :D ;)
You know Uncle bills mantra was...."Debt is Good". :)
I can take paypal payment, however it comes out of your account.
I can stain the neem to look much like satisaal, if you like....
You wouldnt want that large steel guard to be nickel silver, it would get dinged and bent too easily.

This thing is like a pirate cutlass and you won't find them at this price too often.....

Tell me about it! Every time I see one, it's more than I can afford, or taken, or one of the fish ones that I also don't like, or a combo...

Anyway, though, I meant the "extra" piece of metal, on the website model. http://www.himalayan-imports.com/assets/images/crose.jpg

Unless that's a trick of the light, though I don't think so. I wonder how it'd look with a nickel silver butt, and maybe a bolster, too? I'm not sure if it'd be good or bad. That one and a standard butt/bolster are both like "sandwiches," while 3 metal bits would be a club sandwich. Not sure how it'd look.

The blade on that one, on the other hand, looks perfect. Just a bit more slender than usual, looks like, which is what I'd want to complement and contrast with the Teeny Tiny Chitlangi Bowie I need to custom order one of these days. :p

Please don't tell me you could also laha and solder a nickel silver band around the grip! I already had ramen for lunch today! :P :P

I don't think that is a silver band around the middle of the grip in that pic.... if you zoom in on that pic, i think it shows some scotch tape holding on a label which is put on to tell what wood the handles is. Uncle probably forgot to remove it for the photo, much as i did here: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/dragon63/DSC00379.jpg
If you were to look at the other side of the UF you would see a white label that says " US Walnut Wood".

Why is that 18 inch New style Hanuman Special still available? It looks amazing. It is calling to me but I am pretending not to hear it.

Nice selection and good prices. :-)

On the survival knife - I would HIGHLY recommend NOT making a spear of this or any other knife, Use your knife to sharpen a stick if you need a long pokey thing. You are asking for a damaged or broken blade. YMMV. .

Sevomiller, the survival knife is intended to function as a speartip, obviously throwing it is likely to damage the knife... possibly catastrophically, the best use for it that Ive read is as a hog hunting tool to finish off injured hogs at a safe distance

I'd say 1 is none and 2 is 1. Only haft knives into spears if you have at least 4 knives (if you only have 3, then hafting 1 knife leaves you with 1 knife and 0 spears! Gotta make 2 spears). ;)

The survival knife won't see anymore than what it can handle. Though of course it's almost 12 1/2 inches long and a hair over 1 pound with out the sheath, so it can handle a good bit. Maybe it could take the place of the karda and chakma with the 20" CAK. If that doesn't say over prepared/compensating I don't know what does.
