Creaser

Trav, the link shows an Osborne #21 creaser. they come in five sizes, but in my opinion the number 5 is the only one you will use and hence the only one you will need.

The #5 creaser puts a burnished groove (not cut) about 1/8" from the edge which on my sheaths puts it directly in the middle between the absolute edge of the sheath and the stitch line. The function is about 99.9% decorative, but it does kind of dress up a sheath. Stuart Branson used it on the blade sheath he posted here a couple of days ago. The one he made for his brother. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8869153&postcount=1

I used an adjustable creaser as getting the #5 isn't easy up here in Canada. Works well and as Paul said, it's decorative but I really like the effect.

This is the sheath Paul did where it really got my attention. Spectacular!
