So, my son was baptised not long ago, and i wanted to do something special for the occation.
I was having a little trouble doing this (because parting with a blade you love is supposed to be hard), but i decided to make this his entry into the world of BK&T and gift him my beloved eskabar. I know he won't be able to use, or even hold it for a long time, but it felt somewhat special to me.
Let's call it an eskabaptism;)
Well, here it is, the most awesome baptism-present of all time.

There is some serious awesome here.

Excellent thread.

Hmmmmmmmmm........thinking......

I was expecting to come in here and see something that belongs in the cove.

However this is quite awesome man! Congrats on the kid getting baptized.

Nicely done! I was also expecting a biology 101 lesson...

Thanks guys.
Feels good to see that my little unortodox strategies are "head-approved" :P

I was actually planing to get one for my wife and daughter too, but then there's that little detail they call money to consider.
However my daughter is jealous and says she wants one aswell, so she's well on her way into the adiction.

That's all kinds of awesome right there. Something he can cherish and keep all his life, and a father/son bond. I was going to suggest having his name put on it, then I saw that you already had!

Again, great move. It will teach him many things as he grows up. How to sharpen it, oil it, and how to act responsibly with it.

That is one great baptism-gift. A wonderful way to make a special occasion even better. And congratulations with the kid and the baptism and everything!

Realizing that knives are tools with the potential to be very dangerous if used irresponsibly is the criteria for getting to carry them in their own packs. My daughter wasn't allowed to carry her knives untill i saw that she handled them correctly and didn't mess around with them.

Great gesture! Just gave me an idea for my two year old grandson. A Becker every year...at least for awhile

My little sister has taken a serious liking to my BK7. I'm not sure whether to give it to her outright, or go half and half and get her one of her own.
