Creating a new knifeknut

Last week a friend with whom I do some backpacking told me that his knife isn't quite what he would like (a small, cheap AUS-6 blade), and, knowing that I have a passing interest in knives, asked me for some advice. He limited me to the $40-60 range. I showed him a few Benchmades and Spydercos, and pointed out things like the Kabar Dozier folding hunter and the CRKT line. Yesterday he told me that he had ordered a large Griptilian, and it should arrive in time for him to bring on a snow camping trip we have planned for this weekend. His wife is not too fond of our camping trips, I wonder what she will think of him starting a knife hobby.

I recently convinced a friend to buy a griptillian.

Tomorrow he's picking up an AFCK, planning on getting a Nimravus in the next couple of months ;]
