I was watching a Stephen Segal movie the other day, and to make a long story short
old stevie was confronted by a group of tough guys. He calmy asked them if they took
visa, and pulled out what appeared to be an ordinary credit card, then a little razor blade sprung out of the card and he dispatched the bad guys with it. I did some searches for this type of item but to no avail. Any ideas? TIA

I don't know about this movie, but as for credit card knives, I know of at least two: the Spydercard from Spyderco and the Access Card from SOG. I'm not even including the Swisscard.

I like the Spydie card a lot, the one I saw in the movie looked exactly like a visa card

Thank you

The knife was a prop. Prop master Eric Bates asked us if we could supply such a knife and we told him that no such thing existed so they made it.

I've seen a couple guys post that Bladerigger wallet-and-knife for $80 recently. You might want to do a search on the Exchange forums.

The current issue of Blade magazine has a great story on credit-card knives and diamond stones. They start it off with a pic of the Microtech knife, the Option II, which is close to a necessity ... ummm, a good idea ... ahh, I gotta get one!

Where can I get an Option II? I quick search of of Google yielded nothing.

The other guys have summed it up on the Spyderco, Swisscard, and the SOG. So I only have one more to add, and that is the TEKNA credit card knife. I bought one of these about 15 years ago, and just recently noticed that one of my distributors has them in stock. It is very light, and simple to operate one handed. Sorry I don't have a pic, but hopefully I can get a digicam by the weekend and I will post one.

The MT looks even better than the TEKNA. I need one!

I just got whif of a new CC knife out there. It's Ti and the whole bottom edge is chisel ground.

Yea, yea, I know about Ti's edge holding, but it might be interesting. I'll post more as I get it.

John

I don't believe that the Blade article suggested any price on the new MT Option II? I have myself persuaded I can't afford a MT, at least for awhile, but that is one cute, cool, useful looking knife! But, have to try the Spydie card 1st!
