Any recomendations?
I appreciate any suggestions or advise.
thanks, LarryD

I take credit cards. Not for knives because no one is stupid enough to buy mine, but for everything else. I would use one of the merchant services. If you do a search for them you will find a million of them. Your biggest concern is the machine (unless you use paypal or something like that) the machines are expensive. you can lease them but that is also expensive. $25.00 or so a month. Also remember to factor in your cost (2-3% + the cost of the machine). You may find it's not worth it...then again.

I use PayPal for online credit card payments. I like it. Quick, easy and secure. A lot of people pay me that way.

I found this site. They set up an online secure page. Have not gotten the details yet. Will find out more. Looks like you don't have to have the machine as it all oline transactions for ecommerce. chilly:cool:
I'll have more after I apply for the service and check em out. Dson

Guess it would help it I put the link in here
somewhere.......http://www.intellipay.com/

Billpoint is good it is close to pay pal
you send them an invoice of the total
then the money is put into your account.
work well I have used it alot on ebay
with no problem.

Sorry Larry. I thought that you were talking about a general credit card service. If you are just doing online stuff paypal or billpoint are good.

Thanks Peter.
Paypal is limited to 400.00 or so each transaction and I don't know about Billpoint, I'll check it out. Man, I want a service that can take thousands of dollars per transcation...:D know what I mean Vern?

Years ago, banks had a problem with a business that did not have a store front. That is not the case today. You should have no problem with getting a merchant account.

I have a terminal that I leave at home. The fee is only $7.50 a month. At the show, I call a 800 number and get an approval code. When I get back from a show, I just do what's called a batch balance.

About 80% of my business is with credit cards.

A.T.
