I'm considering buying a credit card sized knife designed to carry in your wallet. Anyone have a suggestion? Currently I'm leaning towards the Swiss Army version because it has scissors, tweezers, a pen and tooth pick. Things I currently don't carry daily. TIA.

I carry a Spydercard in my wallet. It's an edge when I need it, and it has a nice pointy point, which I find useful.

You might look at the SOG Acess Card.

Similar with a bit different accessory package.

It has bulit-in tweezers, toothpick, and small screwdriver. It is 0.20"/5mm thick and is covered By SOG's waranty, and they stand behind thier products. The clip is removable and it comes with the super-cool Arc-Lock (similar to the Benchmade Axis).

I love everything I have by SOG. From my experience they make some of the finest knife/tools in the business at a great value.

I've has almost every Credit card knife at one time or another ... from the Titanium cutting rectangle to the Microtech Option II.

The Buck 526 Executive is the only one I would carry. Not even a credit card knife but well worth the carry.

Second choice would be the Option II, but you will have to throw away half your credit card collection to keep it in there. ;)

I also have the Spydercard. It is well made and doesn't have a clip, so it's very slim. It is somewhat heavy for this type of knife, but the quality is top-notch. If you normally have an EDC and aren't worried about a backup EDC, then go for one of the combo wallet kits. If you're after a backup knife, then go for something like the Sypdercard. For $16, it's kind of hard to go wrong.

I have been carrying the Swisscard for over 3 years now...the pen has come into use in MANY situations, something other cards do not have. Also the toothpick (having braces...) has been quite useful when I'm at a restaurant, away from home. It's quite slim and is probably the lightest/slimmest out of them all, also having more tools than the others, AFAIK.

IMO, what is the point of having a strong cutting blade (like the SOG, SpyderCard and others) when you already carry 1 or more "real" knives on you? Unless you ARE looking for a replacement for the times when you can't carry your other knives....but for opening boxes, envelopes and other small tasks, the small knife in the SwissCard handles them fine.

I vaguely recall that the SOG Access card does have a compartment to store minor stuff like glasses screwdrivers, maybe it can fit a pen.....

the sog card definitely cannot fit in your pocket, i had one and it's basically hard to carry, first it won't fit in your wallet cause of the cliop and it's too thick and big, second the clip is useless, they say you can use the clip as a money clip but due to the position of the clip the money doesn't CLIP too well, also because of the clip position you cant really even clip it to your pocket, and if you remove the clip it exposes the arc loc mechanism so you can't remove the clip either....

I had a spydercard then went to MT Option II. It is easier to cut with the Option II.

Than I got a Spydercard,

Hardly ever use it, but I always know it's there, and sharp.
