I just spent a couple of days in nearby Creede, CO and got a few pics. Creede was a lot of fun and has a history of gold mining, gunfights and wild times!

I only got a few pics and hope to go back and get more... the main mine buildings are very impressive.

So that's what towns look like out West!

Some snazzy photos, D. Hope you enjoyed yourself!

Shoot, if you didn't tell me that was in CO I would have though you were in my stomping grounds when I was growing up! I remember running all over Georgetown, Coloma, Johnstown Creek, Kelsey, and many unmapped mines on private land all over the El Dorado hills here. I love that Gold Rush history. Thanks for giving me a trip down memory lane even if it is a couple states away, lol! Nice pics too.

Bobby, yeah it ain't as old as you stuffy colonialists out there, but it sure is a helluva lot more wild and colorful!

Completely agree. It can get pretty stuffy around here unless you're in an industrial revolution era city (like mine).

I love it out west. I was in Santa Fe and Taos a few years ago and I had a blast.

I love my adopted home state of Colorado and Creede is a great visit.

Great pics Daniel. I really like the ones of the old machinery. Can you imagine how they got it there? What an effort that must have been.

Daniel, those pics are great! Thanks for posting them. I love gears and stuff.
Rolf, I hear they don't take kindly to city slickers in them parts. :D

:D Thanks again guys!

Rolf, you'd dig it the most! :D Creede is way cool... it has gone through a lot of phases over the years and now homes many artists.

The mining buildings just outside of Creede are most impressive, next time I'll get some pics of them. Many are hanging off cliff edges and the architecture is impressive to say the least.

I used to explore my area in depth, I have been too busy over the last few years but there is much to see... I have lived in many places and there is a ton to do here.
