I've never taken pics with snow as a background, so many of the ones I took didn't turn out well at all! But here's a few that look OK at least.
In my last truckload of firewood, I found that a very large hunk of fatwood snuck it's way in! I removed a couple of chunks with the Crewman, fuzzed them, and then was cooking on top of snow without a problem!
The Crewman is my idea of a Becker Grail I think. Relatively lightweight, extremely brutish, but still nimble enough to handle normal cutting tasks. The handle fits my big mitts perfectly. Comes quite sharp, too! I certainly hope that KaBar brings back this model in a hurry.
I am very pleased with this blade. I'd like buy a spare if KaBar made them again. I intend to give it a much more full test at a later date, and will continue to use it for basic chores like kitchen use and making my nightly fire for my fireplace.
PS- I heart fatwood, and how it smells.
