Hey guys, when I turn 18 I want to get a job opening stuff...I love opening stuff lol. anywho, the cricket looks like a box opener from heaven

What are your guys' experiences?

Blade shape looks great for opening boxes. I've held one but never cut anything with it. I'd imagine a Dodo would be even better because of the larger ergonomic handle. It might be tough to find a Dodo though?

If I were opening a lot of boxes, I'd probably want a little more handle to grab onto. The Cricket is great for general stuff, but I wouldn't want to use one all day long.

The genius of the Cricket is the ridiculous amount of cutting power you can get into such a small size. It's great to have with you. However, if you're going to be using it all day long as your primary work tool, I'd prefer something designed with comfortable, hand-filling ergonomics as a top priority.

I worked in IT for a large insurance agency and one time we switched out 100 or so computers and everyone got dual monitors. I used a Cricket SE that I had put skateboard grip tape on......Worked fantastic. Now I was not breaking down the boxes.....Some other guy did that with a box cutter. I was just opening and cutting tape and cord fasteners/wraps.

Cricket should work fine if you're opening a box or two a day. OTOH, if you're opening a lot of them every day, something with a more hand filling handle, like a Lil Matriarch, Dodo, or Tasman Salt would be a heck of a lot more comfortable to use.
