Cricket Handle Material Choices...

Hello. Probably an easy question for everyone in this forum :)

For whatever reason I think I remember seeing the cricket in a local store some time ago with G-10 as the handle material. I've looked through several online dealers and only see it offered with carbon fiber.

Was the cricket ever offered with G-10 or am I just completely mistaken? :) Thanks for everyone's time.

Seems like I seen some where that it has not been made in G10.Somethig about that japan doesn't produce in G10.I would love to see a Cricket in G10 though.

To my knowledge Crickets were produced in FRN (black or pink) Tufron coated aluminum and carbon fiber. A very small number were overlayed with black and pearl. This overlay was on top of aluminum.

If you go to the Blade Show you will probably see a couple of prototypes that used G-10. One is in paua shell and the other is in another shell material but these are proto's.

G-10 would make a wonderful Cricket handle material but would it be profitable? If the answer is yes then I hope we see it sometime in the future. I sell more variations of Crickets than any other model. One more SKU would be welcome here.

Currently:

FRN black serrated
FRN black plain
FRN pink serrated
Almite serrated
Almite plain
Carbon fiber serrated
Carbon fiber plain
Black/Pearl plain

That makes 8 variations. Do you have them all?

Don't know how many but there was an orange FRN also produced.

I like the cricket a lot, and have been thinking of getting one just to keep clipped IWB only problem is the handle...I really can't stand carbon fiber :)

Thanks for all the information guys.......

Such a great small knife. It is one of the knives is my daily carry rotation. The Yin-Yang was made with serrated and plain blades. (See attached)

Rod,

That's a nice collection of Crickets!

I just ordered a yin/yang to use as a money clip from Terry aka bladebroker.

For anyone interested - Bladearts.com has a selection of Crickets for sale customized by Frank Recupero.

Rod,

Where did you find that one with the web on it. I must have one.

Raden,

I wish I could tell you where it came from. It seems as if I picked it up at a knife show some 3 or 4 years back. It is an aluminum cricket with bone overlaid on the handle and then engraved. The name engraved is "serene". Maybe some of the other forumites have seen them around.
