Crime Plunges in Kennesaw Georgia

The first reply on that original thread was from Pappy. :(

I miss Pappy.

I miss Sarge too. Hope he comes back and regales us with tales of travel and conquest.

I live just a hop, skip and jump from Kennesaw.. Wish it were a little closer to Atlanta, it's would be too much of a commute to live there. They've had that gun law for a while, and always known to be a friendly low-crime place.
It's also the location of Brigade Quartermasters.

I miss Pappy too. Sweet soul.

Thanks for the Pappy memory.
He liked doing things. If he got mad at you you knew it wasn't forever.
I'm still working on getting my 20" Kobra the perfect snake killer ala Pappy.

I liked Pappy, too. He is missed.

There's a guy in Kennesaw named "Wild Man" Dent Myers. Does Confederate re-enactments. owner of Wildman's Civil War Surplus and Herb Shop

I am getting involved in cannons of the Indonesian variety. Black powder is black powder whether in an Indonesian or American Civil War cannon. I bet "Wildman" has some coarse grade and knows a place we could set a big bronze Lantaka off.

He told me that his carry piece is an 1851 Navy revolver, .44 cal. "Takes eight minutes to load it and it is good up to about 25 feet."

There is something about the explosion of flame, smoke and the sweet smell of a good black powder charge...
