Hey all, just finished up. I thought I would do these up in team colors since I was raised in Bama!

Great job...hey it has to happen people...there is already so much UT Big Orange on handle scales around by default ;)

should have dyed them a little brighter red that way they could be arkansas. sooooie!!!

1Sharpknife2,

they look awesommmme- please explain the rit dye or show a link, I am really intrigued, clearly I have not being payin attention in class.

I was really stopped in my tracks when I saw the new red scales on the 4 soon to be released- but Brother you hit it on the head with this.

congrats,
Guy

Easy, I used 1 bottle of Scarlet Rit dye 1 gallon of water and a 6 qt. stock pot. I heated it to a boil and removed from heat about 5 minutes. Soaked the scales for an hour then removed and placed into a cold water bath (sink) for about 20 minutes to set the dye. Then let air dry on towel, that's it!

1Sharpknife2,

Why thank you Sir, I do declare that you have made me a believer.

Sounds simple enough, I shall give it a try. Those handles look so good.

Thank you kindly,
Guy

Those look great! Does the dye come off of your hands at all? And I'm guessing this is a permanent mod...?

No because when you soak them in cold water that's what sets the dye in. I would use some latex gloves unless you want your hands the same color though.:D

I was stationed at Redstone Arsenal. So I guess that is as close as I would get to Roll Tide. I actually trained a lineman from the football team to do a jump spinning back kick. It was quite impressive.

Roll Tide or something.
