Does anyone know if the crinkle coating idea is a Busse original? I have only seen it on Busse and TOPS knives, and the TOPS version is weak to say the least. I also noticed that the crinkle coating is a lot more pronounced on my AK-47 than on my Satin Jack (the original model- sorry I don't know the formal model name) which makes me wonder if the process has changed at all.

Many thanks to all of you who put up with my questions and give me such helpful replies.

crinkles will vary a lil from batch to batch. busse's is the best i have found. black is very crinkly, desert is sandier, green is slicker with grey being the slickest.

amazingly enough, I have heard that the desert coating is the toughest. It is more abrassive and tougher. I would have thought th black crinkle was.

I wonder what a black crinkle finish would have looked like in comparison to this tan one.... ???

OK but what color is most durable ?

Magenta Pink. It matches the tutu of the Hog that time forgot.

Where has spearhog been anyway? (Not trying to hijack the thread)
