Let me show you a work of Mauricio Daletzky, which I had the pleasure of performing the sheath.

Blade: 1095 and 15N20
Length: 19 cm
Thickness: 5mm

Handle: Slavonia oak and walnut separator

sheath: cow rawhide and colt rawhide threads

I hope you like it.

I'm VERY IMPRESSED with your leather/knot work. Just freakin amazing imo.
Subdued, but when you really look at it- holy crap.

Sorry if a stupid question, is both the lower and upper part of the handle Oak and just the thin spacer Walnut? That is a beautiful handle with the difference in grain and grain direction. I was looking at it earlier and agree with Lorien; the stitching on the sheath appears impeccable. A great departure from the norm.

quite an interesting knife. not sure about the handle construction but the blade is extremely nice and quite unusual. Love the sheath also. looks like you probably had fun creating this knife.

Great looking work on both knife and sheath. Real Beauties !

Thanks Lorien, the rawhide is usually brighter than the pictures reveal. They are always moist with gliserina soap . Soon I will make a Bowie sheath .. we'll see what comes out.

David, it's just a detail of walnut spacer. Thanks.
