Hi guys,

Such as promised in my initial thread, here you have some of my “Criollos Argentinos” knives.

I like design and I try to find parts and things that I like and join them in a harmonious way in a new knife, always respecting the essence of true ”Criollo Argentino”.

All of blades are handmade by forging and majority steel carbon and a few in stainless steel.

Handles, grips, “soajes” and dropouts, are fully handmade in alpaca, except a couple that are 800 silver with a little of gold plate.

I don't know if you know what is “alpaca” (nickel Silver), trying to explain, also is called English Silver.

Some knives are “picaso” (alpaca and leather), also these leather are molded by hand.

Here you have some pictures and I hope you like them.
Any questions or queries, of course, I am at your disposal for answering.

Greetings to all and thanks !
Hugo

Attending your request, new blades pictures were added.
Remember some of them will be changed for carbon steel blades.
Take in account that some of these blades are between 30 and 50 years old in order to maintain the true spirit and rustic appearance of true gaucho´s knife.
I hope you like them !

All pics were made with Nikon D3 + 105mm f/2,8 Micro by h2r-photoart - that means, myself :)

Hugo,

Well you don't see work like that every day?
Very interesting.....:)

They are asking makers showing their work here to pony up for a makers membership.
Very low cost for what you get in return.

Welcome to Bladeforums. -

Thanks for your comment Al, I´ll thinking about that.
For now, I only make knives for me, maybe in the future (if I see that there are many people who like this style), could sell them, I dont know.

I don´t know if I´m wrong; showing pics of my knives in this thread, is incorrect ?
I´m new in this Forum and I wouldn´t like to break any rules; could you please give me some information about this point; I´ll appreciate.

My best regards !
Hugo

PD
Sorry, but my english is not good at all.

Hugo, this is the perfect place to post pictures of your knives and I must say gorgeous knives. I sure hope you keep posting.
I am working on a sheath myself that will have those kind of fittings and even if they will be ugly in comparison, it gives me some good ideas.

As for your English, it is just fine and you know what they say "A picture is worth a thousand word".

Beautiful work, welcome and thank you for posting the pictures of your knives. :)

You caught MY attention. I love these 'gaucho' knives. (Forgive me if that's not what they also are. That's how I learned.)

I NEED to see these out of their spectacular sheaths. Where's the blade...??! :)

Welcome!

Jim

Hola Hugo y bienvendido a Bladeforums!

Exactly what I was going to say.

The older I get, the more I like this style of knife. Gaucho knives strike my fancy.

We do need more pictures of the blades!

Beautiful knives. Im a huge fan of the style.
More pics of the blades themselves, please.

Thank you for your nice comments guys, I am very grateful !

Thanks.

I like them all - they look great.

I like that some of the blades are old - the rustic appearence really suits a classic knife design like that.

Just beautiful
