I've got a used excellent Cripple Creek knife lined up and was curious if it was a "real" CC? Was it made by CC/Bob Cargill? I know a few of you are up on these CCs and will know.

Here is the info on it: 1987 2nd Edition Knife World Knife, 1 of 500. This knife is a large equal-end 'cigar' pattern, with big clip and spear blades in a moose configuration (i.e. one from each end.) The handles are a deep brown jigged bone. The sheild is a bar. I'll post some pics of it when it arrives.

I've got a Cripple Creek Punkin' Seed Jack Knife from 2009 but it's made by another company.

Thanks in advance for the info.

If it looks like this, it's real. I really like this knife. It just has a great hefty 'feel' to it.

Yep, it is. With this issue, some have the center liner and some don't.

Comoha, Thats it, great picture. I'm super happy about getting one of these knives. I like the pattern and now that I know it's a real CC I'm stoked.

Mckgreg, I'm not sure about the center liner but I'll know soon. I'll post some more info and pics when it arrives.

Thanks again.

After a bit of work, it finally arrived today. Here are some pics of it.

Comoha, it does have a heft to it. It's a pretty big knife. I like it more so now that I've put it in my hands.

MCKGREG, It has a center liner but it doesn't rise up where the blades sit in the closed position.

In my pictures, the bone looks black but it's dark brown. The match striker nail nicks are my favorite. This is a great knife!
