Ahoy there.

Y’all have any tips on getting something close to these super tight radius plunges? That sweep from the choil to the spine is so nice. I’m not getting anywhere close on personal attempts.

You don't want your plunges to be a tight radius. They should be an adaquete radius (maybe 1/16" to 1/8") so they don't create a stress riser. With a tight plunge, if you put a sideways force on the blade it will break at the plunge due to the stress riser.

This works for me

I did this one last week with the 120 grit belt running slow 1/4”-3/8” off the side flat platen. I left the plunge a much softer radius because I wanted a choil that was the same profile as the finger groove only inverted. So, the plunge radius ends exactly at the end of the choil. The magic marker was where I needed to hand sand a little to make it match the other side. I got the rest of the lines correct by hand sanding also.
