I'VE JUST ACQUIRED A CHRISWELL BARRACUDA. CAN ANYONE TELL ME A LITTLE MORE ABOUT IT? IT IS BLACK A W/GREEN CORD WRAPPED HANDLE. ON ONE SIDE IT HAS "CRISWELL" IN SILVER. ON THE OPPOSITE THERE IS A PICTURE OF A BARRACUDA AND IT IS NUMBERED xx OF 25. THE SHEATH IS MADE FROM KYDEX. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THIS KNIFE WAS MADE? ALSO, OTHER THAN MAKING SWORDS, I HAVE'NT BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT TOO MUCH ABOUT THE MAKER. DOES THIS KNIFE HAVE POSSIBLE COLLECTOR VALUE?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I can just tell you the proto type has a longer blade than the final versions. The only reason I know is because I have that one. I do remember this project was put into motion about three years ago or so.

THANKS TOM! WOULD YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW THE PRICE OF THIS KNIFE WHEN IT WAS FIRST ISSUED? WHAT ABOUT ITS CURRENT VALUE?

RAF, does yours have a crossguard? The original model did not have one. I've got one of those. The second generation did come with a croossguard. I seem to remember the newer model coming out about three or four years ago but I am not positive on that. I'm fairly sure the list price was $150.

I have #24 of 25. Black Blade, Black cord wrap handle over purple titanium inlays. I paid $125 from www.nwcutlery.com. The only thing I don't like about it is that the kydex sheath wears the blade coating down quickly.
