Critique my buying list

Over the next 3 months these are my planned gear purchases. Tell me what you guys think.

Surefire E1b new EDC light mainly because it looks cool. I will not consider a light not made by surefire.

Maxpedition Colossus Versipack- My jumbo has trouble holding all my school stuff. I think this will last a couple of years.

Travel gear. I need a couple og good travel bags. I saw maxpedition has some duffel bags that looked promising, but I have no way to handle them.

Leatherman Skeletool- just looking for a lighter weight tool to replace my Charge TTi. It is a good tool but very heavy.
 
all reputable companies that make exellent products.

ive owned several maxpedition packs, and quality great on all of them. i didnt care for the versipack, i prefer a backpack. ive got a pygmy falcon, which excepting one design feature, i like very much.

i cant personally recommend their duffels, but im sure their products are all of equal quality.

I bought the DoppelDuffel. Its expensive like all Maxpeditions stuff. I have several things from them. I can't seem to part with any of them. I won't bore you with the list but off the top of my head I own at least 6 pieces. I was disappointed in the size of the DoppelDuffel when it first got here and was thinking I may send it back. I started loading it with stuff that I usually take on weekend trips and with a little rearranging I was amazed how much stuff I could actually jam in the thing. No way its going back. It replaces another large bag and some needed equipment from a tackle box I use to have to carry. I love the thing.

Thanks Kr that makes me feel better about buying it. I am at that point were I prefer to buy maxpedition packs over anything else.
 
You might check out Red Oxx Manufacturing for travel bags. Very tough and well made in Montana by good people.
