Here are my criteria:
-#1 because it IS going to get knocked around a lot, it must be durable, or at least have a protective case.
-The player and/or available case must allow for neck carry, belt carry, and clipped carry.
-Must use a removable battery, preferably AA. AAA would be ok, too.
-Must be a flash player.
-Must have an available FM transmitter so I can use it in my truck.
-At least 1GB of storage.
An FM tuner is a plus, and a weather band would be, too.
I've put off buying an MP3 player, but this is something that I know will get used for several hours every day. I'll use it on the job(when possible-I have a radio...I mostly hate radio), while working out, and while driving(no more digging around for another CD).
My choice so far is an iriver iFP-799T. Hadn't noticed it before, but I'm also looking at the iriver T10-1GB.
I'd love to hear any comments, criticisms, or suggestions for something that might be better before I buy.
Thanks.

I think Sony has gone the wrong way with the proprietary equipment route. They'll pay for it in the future.

That's why I've been looking at the Irivers too. And the one I've been looking at is the T10. I think you'll like it. Go for it.
