Hello everyone. My birthday is June 1st yup (43)so I have a great reason to buy myself a great knife.

I've noticed over the years, the knives I like and use the most are ones with acute tips, (tanto) thin blades hollow grind, or flat. Good slicers.

I've owned a 25, 21 large and small & umnumzaan. Was wondering how the tanto crk is? Or the insingo?
Or maybe just another 21 will suit me perfectly?

I'm in the 400ish $$$ range.

Any suggestions are welcome, thank you for looking.

I am a 10 years and 4 days older then you... (June 5th will be 54)
Not sure what I want for my birthday. Maybe there will be a good announcement at the Blade Show that will help me out on that.

The insingo is a great blade shape I like it better then the standard blade. I expect you would like it . Can't help on the tanto.

I am a big fan of the insingo blade - it's a great slicer, and the shape is great for general utility. You can let your past experience guide you; but I felt the micarta inlays were a huge improvement over the plain ti scales.

Since I'm sure I'll forget by then - happy birthday.

Another vote for the Insingo. Especially with micarta inlays. Best slicer and blade design ever.

Was wondering how the tanto crk is? Or the insingo?

Well the obvious answer is both. ;)

A small plain Jane Insingo and a small micarta tanto are currently the only two CRKs I have. Probably my two most carried blades as of late. (that'll happen when you work in an office)

The Insingo is better as a worker and the tanto is better as a looker. Or was it the other way around?

Go different for the next one, whether that be the Tanto, Insingo, damascus, or maybe a Mnandi? Enjoy and happy early birthday!

I vote for insingo.
more particularly, a small insingo with a carbon fiber scale.

I tried the micarta and it is really nice, but for me, the small 21 felt so much nicer with the ultra-light CF scale.

Just today I received a small micarta Insingo, I love this knife. To me it looks a little more streamlined than a large Insingo. The Insingo just seems so versatile. It's good to have choices, no?!

I would go for the insingo too:thumbup: However...for something different why not call CRK on your birthday to see what you can buy with that date?

Ordered a small insingo micarta the other day, will post pictures when it arrives. Big thanks to everyone.👍
