Does anyone know if CRK will do any inlay work on a plain sebenza handle after it's been sold?
I have a plain sebenza and am interested in getting the micarta inlays, but I don't really want to sell this one or have 2 small user sebenzas.

It never hurts to call and ask, but I do not believe they will install inlays on an existing plain handle sebenza. It has to do with machining tolerances during production. They are also limited on what they can do with their custom engraving as well because of the machining tolerances also. The handles that are perfectly flat are saved and used for their inlays and graphic engraved sebenzas. The scales that are not dead flat are used for the plain handle sebenzas. Due to CRK high quality, those not dead flat are only off maybe a thousandth of an inch......lol. It doesnt seem like a lot, but to CRK it is. This is the difference between CRK quality and other manufactures.

i make custom scales for sebenzas. check out the gadget and gear section i have a few up for sale

i have blue and black, orange ,and tiger g10 onthe way . the pics are tiger and orange. the scale thickness is the same as the original ti scales. so it will fit in custom fit leather pouches.

Great custom sebenza scales everyone. Barry H, I have one of your orange scales and its is Top Of The Line, I highly recommend them to anyone. The one I have is the regular/21 scale orange one in your pic.:thumbup:

Can The Back Side Be Flamed ?

Barry H- just looked at all 200+ pics in your photobucket account- sick... absolutely sick work! Love the look of the carved and flamed ti slabs on the sebenza!! Could that be done on an Umnumzaan or would the existing grooves be a problem?

I haven't had anyone ask before. On my Sebenza I did, that was quite a while ago, maybe 2004 or '05. My grooving was shallower then, compared to what I do now. Of course, titanium is much harder to groove than carbon fiber or G-10.

If there's a will, there's a way:)

No, I commissioned a maker to fabricate for me a flat ground CPM 3V blade for it. I suppose you want to see a pic of that:D
