CRK Belt Sheath

Good afternoon!

I typically carry my CRK's via the pocket clip, but recently I've found myself wearing dress pants more often for work. On these days I've been using the pocket slip sheath, but I'm not a huge fan of it. Thinking about ordering the CRK belt sheath (pictured below).

With a little searching on the forum I've found a few threads regarding this, but nothing too recent. I'd love to hear feedback from current / long time owners as to the comfort, durability, ease of use, etc.

Thanks!

I have one and find it much larger and bulkier than I expected. Great with work jeans or Carhartts, not so sure with dress slacks.

I carry mine on the belt sheath occasionally, usually when working in the yard as it's much easier to pull a blade from the belt instead of from a pocket when kneeling. It is a little bulky and I'm not sure how it would look with slacks, either way I would recommend it.

I have a CRK belt sheath that I have had for many, many years. It is comfy for me, and they hold up well. It is a very well built belt sheath.

I could not agree more, T.K.C.

The brown one really take on a nice look with some age and use. I gave mine a massive slathering of Obenauf’s when new. It is still soft and supple. Currently it holds my Inkosi but it will carry a small Sebenza or you can use the other snap and carry a large Sebenza. Works for vertical and horizontal carry (I’ve never tried horizontal though).
The best part is that it is stamped on the back, “Gfeller Casemakers Meridan, ID”.
So both knife and sheath are Idaho Made. Cool, eh? ;)

Rob, your CRK sheath looks lovely. The brown really DOES take on a nice patina. :D

I almost bought one of these to use with suits but it just looked like it would be too bulky so I went a different route.
I will probably pick one up when I stop wearing suits for work next year.

Thanks for the feedback all. I pulled the trigger on the CRK belt sheath. Should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Will definitely share my thoughts after a few days with it. 👍🏻

I carry in a pancake sheath made by My friend Dave Abramson (Lifter4Him) daily and have been doing so for over 10 years. His sheaths are the best. I also have the original CRK belt sheath that I use when I need a sheath with a flap.

I use a horizontal sheath for my small insingo. I bought it from a leatherworker on ebay. It has a great hold on it and I need the lanyard to pull it out.

I LOVE Dave's sheath's. He is THE one I always go to when I want a sheath made.

Love leather belt sheaths for the look, but they are generally pretty bulky (i.e., Buck). I prefer more compact nylon belt sheaths like Buck's, or else flatter leather sheaths -- which I usually end up making myself.

Sorry guys- I removed the links as well as the pics to the non supporting dealer..
