CRK Clips Are Identical to Piranha Clips

I searched and could find no discussion of this. Piranha knives use titanium clips that are identical to CRK's clips. Interestingly, Piranhas are built just two hours from CRK. So, does CRK sell clips to Piranha, does Piranha sell clips to CRK, or do they both buy the same clips from a local shop??

That's a good point. I have a Pirahna Excalibur and a Bodyguard. Both have the same clip. I'm curious now also.
 
On an unrelated note, I love this Piranha X. It does occasionally bump a CRK from my pocket for pure funness. Haha. The excellent clip is a BONUS!

I think all flashlights should have McGizmo clips and all knives should have CRK clips.

I'm a clip snob obviously. ;)
 
Wow, this is interesting. I bet CRK is pumping out some extra clips for wholesale (just a fun guess)
 
It has been mentioned on here before from CRK themselves that Microtech was buying Sebenza clips to use on one of their knives. I would expect something similar to be going on here as the clips do look identical and the history of CRK selling their clips in the past.

I don't see a way to order clips direct from Piranha but maybe if you email them you can see if they're willing. Not sure of a price.

Interesting. I never have seen a Microtech with the CRK clip personally, but if they sold to them in the past, it seems reasonable to believe that they may still be doing that. The fact that they are located near one another may support the idea that they have a friendship as well.

NBP, you can see the thread here. I found it interesting as well, because I did not know of this before. Apparently on an old knife, back in early 2000s.

Thanks. :) My first Piranha, but the quality seems very high for the price. Precision action, it deploys fast and hard and locks up tight.
