So if any of you like to read, you'll know that borders is finally closing it's doors, after trying to do what it could to stay afloat. I've never read a knife magazine, but someone had posted pics recently of an interview with CRK, and i wanted to see if there was anything of interest in one there.

Apparently CRK did a collaboration with Gerber  After seeing reviews of the Bear Grylls knife, i was quite shocked to see this. It's called the Gerber LHR, the initials are after the 3 people who came together to make it: Larsen, Harsey, and Reeves. The reviewer in the magazine said it was quite the sturdy knife, but i've never seen mention of it outside of that magazine.

We have the Ti-Lock, the green beret, the razionale, and? It was a recent magazine, so i'm curious to see if there are any other collabs. It seems like not too many people care for any of these except the green beret.

Gerber- LHR
Wilson Combat- StarTac Umnumzaan, Starbenza
KnifeArt- Insingo
Al Mar-
Les Robertson- LDC
True North Knives- Tanto
Gavin/Hawk- Ti Lock

There was an LDC collaboration knife, Chris Reeve with Les Robertson. There were large "LDC9" and small "LDC109" versions.. 50 of each. It has four milled grooves in the handle and a swedged BG-42 blade.

There was an Al Mar one-piece collaboration as well. I've seen some floating around the Exchange in recent years.

wasn't the crkt one without the permission of CRK? I thought i read somewhere that it had offended him, and they stopped making it. Or i'm making that all up in my head.

It was a collaboration in the making but Chris Reeve pullled out last second because he decided that the knife wasn't being produced to his high standard.
The project was scrapped but a few of the CRKT sebenzas were already shipped to dealers and some were leaked to the public.

The Al Mar collaborations were beautiful. Basically, they were Sables with double guard and a serrated section at the ricasso.

i like some of the collabs as well, but it was interesting seeing when the ti-locks first came out they were definitely being sold, then, just a short while after i saw them being re-sold whether here or elsewhere. Definitely feel like ti-locks are getting less love than the others :p

was just going to sayy that...you dont really hear a lot about them but the little you do the people seem to really like them

I have one. It's not bad. Not as nice as the Alias, but it's solid. I like the way the liner lock is recessed back into the handle.
