crk customer service just blew me away

These people are incredibly nice and so willing to help. I just got off the phone with them because I lost the screw to my pocket clip for my seb25.
I told the lady what happened and she said"what's your shipping address ill have you one go out this morning" so with debit card in hand(expecting to pay shipping) I gave her my address. She said ok it's on its way at no charge.
I then told her I wanted a crk t shirt. She asked what size and I told her(again debit card in hand to BUY a t shirt).
She then said it will go out with your pocket clip screw have a nice day.
Wow I make a bone head move and lose something that goes on a perfect knife, and I get a free screw, a free t shirt and free shipping. That is cs at its finest, and let's me know even further that crk is everything they say and then some.....yep they have a lifer in me.
 
CRK IS Indeed #1. Thats why I have owned 101 of em.....!!! Keep sharing the great stories guys and gals.......:)
 
You should have said you wanted to buy a knife. Then they would have shipped one with your screw. ;)

The only (possible) problem is, someone (probably more than one) will read this and expect the same, and if they don't get it, they will be mad.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have seen this with another fantastic maker. A guy made a report similar to this, and a month later there was a butt-hurt thread posted where the guy got reasonable customer service but no gimmies.

I sincerely hope I am wrong:)

100% agree. When things like this happen to me, even though I am super impressed and excited, I refrain from telling others about company kindness (beyond saying their CS was more than exceptional) since others might expect similar treatment and it is just not fair for a company to be held to higher standards than they should be without their knowledge. There is a fine line between customer service that goes above and beyond and taking advantage of a company for free stuff.

That said, CRK customer service has always been one of the best in my book and I will continue to give them business! :thumbup:

I didn't even think about that, when I started this thread. It was purely made to express my amazement at what good people they are at crk. I wasn't expecting that level of kindness and generosity, as stated in the op I have a debit card in hand ready to pay.
I hope that it's not the case that someone, would try to abuse the cs at crk.
I was so blown away that I felt it deserved to be mentioned as I have been on the receiving end of bad cs from other companies.
 
It's not a complaint at you, it's just fact.


I realize it sounds silly, but there will be some guy wondering why he got no additional love, when he ought to be THRILLED, that he got brilliant CS. It's just an unfortunate reality that good deeds get assimilated into expectations.

No darkness pointed at you though, it's great that you had a wonderful experience.
 
CRK service is great. Thanks for posting your experience. I know of a few companies who could take some lessons from them.
