Any way to tell by these pictures if this knife is an authentic Sebenza Classic MM or not?

Thanks in advance!

Can you post some higher resolution pictures? It hard to tell from the current pics if the frame edges are double-beveled.
Nothing appears alarming, but if it is legit it has been through the spa and been outfitted with a new thumb lug--notice the dimple in the back of the lug--not original to a Classic.

unfortunately those are the only pictures I have.

I'm trying to find a good classic at a good price and I found this one. Sounds like it might be legit based on what you are saying MostMenAreRuthless since he told me it just got back from the Spa. I don't think CRK would work a counterfeit knife.

Thanks!

The resolution is poor, but the 2nd pictures does show the double chamfer on the edge.

To my knowledge, ALL Classics are double-beveled. I have never seen one that wasn't.

ah the Classics ones - gotcha.

Was asking because I went to check the Sebenza's I own and none of them have double-chamfers (but they are all newer models).

Thanks again - you guys/gals rule!

The knife looks genuine but it also looks like a lot of the blade has been sharpened away. I would pass on that one personally......

I was thinking that the person took the pic was going out of their way to introduce some ridiculous perspective/vanishing point putting the blade further away from scrutiny.
It may be just me, but the color of the ano'd parts looks funny
Unless the OP took the pic..I would have to agree. Pass

How wow, good catch - I never thought to check that but after comparing it with pictures of other Classics, you are right! Thanks a lot for pointing that out Haze!

As our friend Bhyde points out the pics do seem a little "handle heavy" and trying to mask that blade is probably why. I'll also add that the handle looks to be in pretty great shape for a knife that has seen that much "use"..... I'm taking a pure guess here but I think that is a pretty new knife that has been subjected to a sharpening system disaster, cleaned up a bit and is now being sold on.

We're always glad to help when and where we can. :)
